The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is a feast for the eyes. It costs a sloppy 3.2 million euros, but then you also have a genuine hyper car.

Bugatti refined the formula that made its Veyron famous with the Chiron. Since its debut, the automaker has pushed the new model to its limits with the Chiron Super Sport 300+. Bugatti went the other way with the Chiron Pur Sport unveiled earlier this year. Its top speed, which is limited for a Bugatti, is severely restricted to just 351 kilometres per hour. This concentrated on handling and made significant changes to the hypercar’s performance, Why?

Bugatti admits that high speed and fast cornering are not compatible with the same car. Bugatti wanted to tune the Pur Sport for agility so that the car would deliver “tactile performance”. They also changed the chassis tuning, stiffened the springs, changed the wheel camber and developed a new tyre with Michelin to begin with. Bugatti also shortened gearing by 18 per cent and reduced weight by 50 kilos, sacrificing top speed in the pursuit of “agility, handling, elasticity and acceleration”.

This resulted in a car with a top speed of 350 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 200 in just under 6 seconds. This makes the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport the fastest accelerating car Bugatti has ever made.
