It is the more powerful version of the BMW 3 Series: the BMW M3. The car was developed by BMW’s own sports car division, BMW M GmbH. Since the introduction of the E30 M3 in 1986, M3 models have been produced for every generation of the 3 Series.
After the first M3 became available as a coupé body form, it was not long before BMW produced a convertible body form. The M3 Sedans also became available during the generations E36 (1994-1999) and E90 (2008-2012). After 2014, the M3 was only produced as a sedan body style, as the coupe and convertible body styles became part of the 4 Series.
