Building on the already incredible 911 GT3 of the 992 generation, Porsche comes out with a latest version of their ultimate street-legal track weapon, the 911 GT3 RS! This is the equivalent of going to Top Gun acedemie for a day. Now we have this car on paper and it is available in several variants.

Building on the already incredible 911 GT3 of the 992 generation, Porsche comes out with a latest version of their ultimate street-legal track weapon, the 911 GT3 RS!

862 KG of downforce

We are convinced that RS should stand for “Really Sticks”. The 911 GT3 RS has a 40% larger rear wing, a fully encapsulated underbody, a huge central radiator up front and more wheel arch ventilation. The 911 GT3 RS takes to the road with almost 862 kilos of downforce. That translates into sharper cornering, higher cornering speeds and, of course, much more driver confidence. Power has increased slightly over the GT3 to 518bhp. The 4-litre natural-breathing Flat 6 revs to the same 9000 rpm and drives only the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK gearbox. Lightweight fibreglass body panels and redesigned suspension components provide performance gains far beyond the raw numbers.

Active aerodynamics

Compared to the GT3, Porsche has reworked both the aerodynamics and thermodynamics of this car. The hot radiator air is directed outwards, away from the cool engine intake. Additionally the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has active aerodynamics front and rear. The wing always adjusts for maximum downforce or top speed. Depending on the G-load in the car and the driver’s input. The drag reduction system can move the rear wing through its full 34-degree range of motion in just a third of a second. A two-piece front wing under the car moves synchronously with the rear wing, providing up to 80 per cent more downforce at the front. An air braking system assists with hard braking.

Porsche GT3 RS driving modes

The GT3 RS has three available driving modes and the track setting allows the driver to adjust rebound, front and rear compression and rear differential lock. All with dials on the steering wheel.
